Learning a language is the foremost step in the life of a child as it helps to communicate with the world, and a school plays a vital role to train the child in this direction.
The Spellathon Competition, which was held on 8th July at Mody School aimed at creating awareness of the possibilities of using varied words in oral and written expression. The competition was for classes III to VI. It was composed of eight rounds: anagrams, homophones, choose the correct spelling, rapid-fire round, enact the word, mystery box, unscramble words, and compound words.
The objective of the competition was to enhance the spelling and literary skills of children by encouraging them to explore the English language, expand their vocabulary and improve their communication, pronunciation, learning concepts, and comprehension skills.
