Mody Institute, Lakshmangarh, celebrated the nation’s 71st Republic Day with patriotic zeal. (Retd.) Lt. General SPS Katewa, PVSM, AVSM graced the function as the Chief Guest. The Institute’s founding father and chairman, Board of Governors Shri Rajendra Prasad ji Mody and other revered members of Mody family,

Dr. M. Venu Gopala Rao, Principal, Mody School, Ms. Nishi Rana, other dignitaries and parents were also present on the occasion. The celebration commenced with the Chief Guest hoisting the tricolour. This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The four houses of the school namely Gargi, Kasturba, Leelawati and Sarojini toiled for top honors in the inter- house march past competition. Their efforts were marked by a panel of distinguished judges. The Chief Guest took the salute of the parade, after which the School choir rendered the theme song of Mody institute that lays strong emphasis on character building. All divisions of Mody Education Foundation expressed national fervour through a vibrant array of cultural programs which was much appreciated by the audience.

 

Kasturba House was declared the winner of the Inter- house march past competition and Leelawati house bagged the runner’s up trophy.
The festivities culminated with the address of the Chief Guest, who motivated the audience to always remain true Indians in spirit and action. Chief Guest (Retd.) Lt. General SPS Katewa also felicitated the Mody School karate champions who received the black belt Sho Dan from All India Seishinkai Shito Ryu karate Federation. Principal, Mody School, Ms. Nishi Rana, presented a token of remembrance to the revered chief guest and Ms. Kitanjali Singh, Head Girl, Mody School, proposed the vote of thanks.
