The Class XII Psychology students of Mody School, accompanied by their teacher Ms. Monu Kanwar, recently visited the SMS Psychiatric Centre, Jaipur to gain practical exposure to mental health services and clinical practices in psychology.

The visit began with a warm welcome and an insightful tour led by Dr. Jayshree Jain (Clinical Psychologist). Students observed the functioning of the centre, visited the male and female wards for mentally ill criminal patients, and understood the processes of treatment and rehabilitation. They also explored various psychological assessment tools and witnessed the working of the Outpatient Department (OPD) where patients receive therapy and consultations.

A key highlight was an introduction to Tele-MANAS, a 24×7 digital mental health helpline that connects individuals across India to psychologists and counsellors. This experience helped students appreciate how technology is bridging gaps in mental health accessibility.
