In our multicultural society, we need to instil and enforce the universal values of brotherhood, tolerance, peace, compassion, patriotism and solidarity in our children. A celebration is an effort to sensitize students towards living in harmony in a diverse society. Students have learnt to use their thinking ability and skills to work for a safe and better world and to live in harmony with their fellow beings.

Mody School, Lakshmangarh, organized a virtual Durga Navami Celebration via a Zoom session with great spiritual enthusiasm and great festive fervour on 14th October 2021 between 08.00 am to 9.00 am. All the students, faculty and staff members were invited to the virtual event, in which students of all grades participated with great enthusiasm. The celebration started by offering prayers to God Ram by Avika and Vriha with Ram Stuti. Durga Navami is celebrated on the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri. This special day is celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Ram, the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu. The celebration continued with an informative talk presented by Varsha, whereby the significance of the festival that marks the spiritual awakening and established the arrival of divine power on the earth is synonymous with a period of peace and prosperity.

The dance performance by Devanshi was beautiful and was a traditional dance form of Garba. Another dance performance by Prakriti and Yashasvi was ineffable. Disha and Kavya lit up the event by singing melodious bhajan. It was a religious event in which the students performed enthusiastically. The programme would have been incomplete without Durga Mata Ji Aarti, so at the end of the virtual Durga Navami programme, Muskaan performed the virtual Navdurga Aarti with religious fervour. The students also joined in the singing of the devotional song of Maa Durga, a recital that apprised all about the victory of goodness on the evil and the establishment of the Dharma to beat the Adharma.

It was a memorable virtual Navratra Sthapna event of Mody Girls’ School and will forever live in our hearts.
