ALL INDIA IPSC YOGA TOURNAMENT (2019) U-14,U-17,U-19 got under way in MODY SCHOOL, Laxmangarh. Dr. Jagpreet Singh, Director, Sports IPSC and Head Master, The Punjab Public School, Nabha was the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony .Principal, Nishi Rana and other senior faculty members were an integral part of the function. Teams from 10 prestigious schools, including the hosts, are participating in the event. After a colourful cultural extravaganza which included Sanskrit Vedic Chant, Rajasthani folk song, rhythmic yoga performance, and Lavani the Chief Guest was invited to formally declare the tournament open. The Flag-bearing ceremony brought all School representatives and their teams on to the stage for the customary recitation of the oath. The address of the Chief Guest was the highlight of the ceremony wherein he enumerated the true meaning of Yoga which has been in practice since time immemorial in our country and that the youth of the nation especially the women possess power that can change the world. Ms. Siddhi Pankaj, Sports Captain, MODY SCHOOL proposed the vote of thanks.
The Tournament photograph brought down the curtains on the opening ceremony. The inaugural yoga performance was given by the U-14 category yoga artists of Modern School, New Delhi, Emerald Heights International School, Indore and MODY SCHOOL, LAKSHMANGARH respectively in the GVC building quadrangle.
