We are pleased to bring you the latest updates from the school for this term. With immense pride we wish to inform you that the Mody School has decided to begin with the Diploma programme, International Baccalaureate (IB) from the academic session 2016.
Administered by the International Baccalaureate (IB), the IBDP is taught in schools in over 140 countries. The IBDP education is a two year academically challenged and balanced program of education for students of ages 16 to 18. IB programme challenges students to excel not only in their studies but also in their personal growth. The IB aims to inspire a lifelong quest for learning hallmarked by enthusiasm and empathy. IB education encourages students of all ages to think critically and challenge assumptions, develop independently of government and national systems. Incorporating quality practice from research Mody School will encourage students to consider both local and global contexts and develop as multilingual students. IB will encourage students to be internationally-minded, within a complex and hyper-connected world.
Education is an act of hope in the face of an always-uncertain future. To that end, the IB gathers a worldwide community of supporters who celebrate the common humanity and who share a belief that education can help to build a better world. The IB connects this higher purpose with the practical details of teaching and learning. Mody School has put these principles into practice and developed standards for high-quality education. Mrs. Meeta Sharma, who has 10 years of experience of the IB curriculum with The Doon School, has joined us as the Vice Principal.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) and the Diploma Programme (DP) in particular, enjoys a high level of respect and recognition among the world’s higher education institutions. The IB diploma is accepted in 75 countries at over 2,000 universities. For students, success in the IB often results in advanced standing, course credit, scholarships, and other admissions related benefits at many universities.
